"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with teenagers and adults. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change, and I strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard.
I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults, with a focus on anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma. My approach is open-minded, compassionate, and supportive, while also encouraging growth and self-reflection. Together, we work to build coping skills, navigate life's challenges, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
I earned my graduate degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina and my undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in Child, Adult, and Family Studies and Psychology.
My professional background includes work with at-risk youth, school social work, and more recently in an equine therapy setting supporting teenagers and adults. These experiences have shaped my holistic understanding of mental health and reinforced my belief in treating the whole person, not just symptoms or diagnoses.
I use evidence-based practices to help clients better understand themselves, manage challenges, and build confidence in their daily lives. Most importantly, I believe clients should have an active voice in their therapy, and I work collaboratively to ensure the process feels right for you.
